Second New Attorney Announced at The Pickler Law Firm This Year


The Pickler Law Firm is pleased to announce its second prominent hiring this year. On December 8th, 2021, Jon Long, Esq. was hired as Associate Attorney and will be joining the firm alongside Abby Doshier, Esq., who was hired on November 30, 2021. Long will be practicing law with an emphasis in estate planning and administration. He will continue The Pickler Law Firm’s holistic approach to serving clients by offering comprehensive estate planning & probate services.

The Pickler Law Firm has been serving the Mid-South since 2008 and was named the 2019, 2020, and 2021 “Best Law Firm in Memphis” by the Commercial Appeal. Specializing in Estate Planning, The Pickler Law Firm also works in the areas of estate administration and probate, elder law including Medicaid/TennCare planning and Veterans pension, business law, and wills and trusts.


Jon was born and raised near Fairfax, Virginia. In 2002, Jon graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. While in law school, Jon was an editor for the Water Law Review and a Judicial Intern for both The Honorable Chief Judge Larry J. Naves in the Civil Division of the Denver District Court and The Honorable Judge William D. Robbins in the Criminal Division of the Denver District Court. In 2007, Jon graduated with honors from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, with a Juris Doctorate Degree. After being admitted to the Colorado bar, Jon served for 14 years as a Deputy District Attorney at the Denver District Attorney’s Office, where he litigated a broad variety of cases, including complex financial matters and Department of Revenue investigations. Over the past 14 years, Jon has completed over 100 jury trials, argued hundreds of evidentiary motions in court, negotiated settlements in thousands of cases, and directed countless investigations.
