Wills & Trusts

Almost all estate plans include a Last Will and Testament.  Your will is the document that ensures that all your property passes to your intended beneficiaries.  A will is important for everyone to have because it provides both you and your family with the security that your affairs are properly arranged and in order.

When creating your will and succession plan you may want to create trusts for your beneficiaries, nominate guardians of your minor children, and let the court know who you want to administer your estate.  Trusts provide an increased measure of control and stability for your heirs, years after you pass away.  They are particularly useful for people who may have younger children, blended families, real property in more than one state, or larger estates.  Perhaps most importantly, trusts are valuable and efficient tools if you do not want your family to go through the probate process after your death.
